About Dani
Dani is an Associate Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who got her start working in residential and partial hospitalization levels of care. Her areas of focus include LGBTQIA+ concerns, neurodiversity, and eating disorders, as well as anxiety and depression, which are often co-occurring. Dani recognizes that everyone is unique and that her work with you needs to be as well.
In addition, Dani has a passion for working with clients suffering from chronic illness, particularly the low vision and blind community. If you have been newly diagnosed and are coming to terms with your chronic illness diagnosis, Dani is committed to helping you feel understood and validated so that you can better navigate a world isn’t always set up to work for you.
Dedicated to helping clients find the tools that exist within themselves to find healing, Dani brings a strengths-based, somatic, and trauma-informed approach to help clients find safety and presence in their lives. She incorporates aspects of Internal Family Systems and Polyvagal Theory into her work as well as uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Dani believes that healing is found in connectedness — to one’s self and to others — and she strives to create a safe and relatable space.
In her free time, Dani likes creative writing, playing guitar, and reading. She also loves nature and enjoys hiking and spending time near water.
