Our primary relationships can be challenging and, at times, painful. When we feel stuck in our intimate relationships, it can feel like nothing is right in the world. With our busy lives, it is easy to get disconnected. Signs of disconnect are bickering over small things and/or having the same argument repeatedly without resolution. When we feel disconnected from our partner, small things feel big, and it isn’t easy to laugh with each other. You might feel stuck in a rut and can’t remember the last time you looked forward to seeing your partner. Sometimes, relationships can sustain a direct hit, like an affair, lying, pornography, addictions, or other trauma. You might wonder if your relationship will recover … or if you want it to.
Let us help you get back to the joy and ease you once had with each other. All our couples’ therapists are trained and skilled in helping couples navigate and heal from difficult times in their relationships. Additionally, couples therapy helps to improve communication, intimacy, and connection. We offer Gottman, Emotion-Focused Relationship Therapy, mind/body practices, and brain science-informed techniques to help you and your partner regain your lost connection, heal from past hurts, and move forward together better than ever.
Divorce/Relationship Ending
Marriage Counseling and Couples Counseling are not just for improving your relationship. Sometimes, couples need to end their relationships for various reasons. We are here to help you with this transition if that’s best for all concerned. We can help you both heal the grief of losing your relationship and, when desired, negotiate a new relationship based on mutual respect and friendship. Statistically, couples who continue to work on their relationship through their divorce help mitigate the negative effects of the divorce on their children.
Couples Counseling for One
Do you feel your relationship could benefit from couples counseling, but your partner disagrees? Don’t lose hope—we can still help your relationship!
Even if your partner is unwilling to participate in couples or relationship counseling, we can still help you to improve your relationship. We offer “solo couple’s relationship counseling” to help you gain perspective, improve your communication at home, and work on yourself, which is half of the relationship.
