Rates vary depending on session lengths and modalities. Services might be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. We will gather your insurance information when you schedule your first appointment so that we can obtain a quotation of benefits for you.
As a courtesy to you, we will bill your insurance directly, whether or not we are preferred providers for your insurance.
All co-pays are due and payable at the time of service.
Your plan might have out-of-network benefits that will cover our services, so please do not be deterred if your therapist of choice is out-of-network with your insurance. What is most important is that you feel safe and comfortable with your therapist. Payment for services can be negotiated from there.
OptimalLife Wellness Center is preferred with the following insurances:
- Aetna
- Cigna Healthcare
- First Choice
- Kaiser Permanente (formerly Group Health) PPO
- Optum Behavioral Health
- Premera (Blue Cross)
- Regence (BlueShield)
- United Healthcare
Please note that individual therapists might or might not be preferred with your insurance provider as of yet. If your therapist is not preferred by your insurance company, you may still be eligible for out-of-network benefits through your insurance. We will work with you to get our services covered as much as your insurance company will allow.
Although we will check your benefits for you, it is still your responsibility to check with your insurance as to what your plan does and does not cover. We will make every attempt to collect from your insurance. However, you are responsible for services rendered but not paid by insurance within 90 days. Here are some helpful questions to ask your insurance carrier:
- Do I have mental health benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
- How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Sliding Fee
We offer a sliding fee scale for those in financial need, who do not have mental health insurance. We cannot offer a sliding fee scale for those with insurance because of the terms of our agreements with those insurance companies. Also, sliding fee scale rates are available only with our intern therapists. Please inquire directly at the time of placing your first appointment.
Payment
Cash, check, and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) are accepted for payment.
Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay a late cancellation/no-show fee equal to the amount of the session rate reserved for you.
