Renee Zachery, MFT Intern

She/Her

“Therapy isn’t about having all the answers, it is a collaborative process where we gently untangle patterns and create room for curiosity, compassion, and the courage to grow.”

—Renee Zachery, MFT Intern

Renee’s Areas of Focus

Renee offers both in-person and virtual therapy in Washington.

About Renee

Renee is a Marriage and Family Therapy trainee who believes that therapy is most powerful when clients feel seen, heard, and supported in the context of meaningful relationships with others or themselves. Taking a relational and strength-based approach to therapy, Renee is guided by the belief that change begins with awareness and is sustained through connection.

In her work, Renee supports individuals, couples, and families navigating challenges by creating solution sequences that address their presenting problem. As a therapist-in-training, she brings humility, openness, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story. Seeing the therapeutic relationship as a space for collaborative healing and growth, Renee is honored to walk alongside her clients as they work toward lives that feel more authentic, connected, and aligned.

Originally from Indiana, Renee attended college in Colorado and moved to Seattle after graduation. Growing up with a family of educators and her mom, who is a counselor, inspired her pursuit of an MFT degree. Before starting at OptimalLife Wellness Center, Renee spent 2.5 years working in early childhood education and learning how to utilize Integrated Systemic Therapy (IST) in her Master’s program. This has influenced her methodology for working with clients as she enjoys and finds value in assessing presenting problems with a systemic view.

In her free time, Renee enjoys cooking, hiking, watching reality TV, and spending time with friends, family, and dogs. She also loves to travel and has been to all 50 states!
