Angelina Perez, MFT Intern

“I am committed to the efforts and pace it takes to understand each person I work with. My approach to therapy is rooted in my belief that all of us have a very unique life experience. While there is a relieving connection in our shared challenges and grief, we each have a deeply personal and complex relationship with how our life events, changes, and relationships affect us long-term. I am honored to hold space for each of your stories and be part of your support system.”

About Angelina

Angelina Perez believes in the strength of a true support system. Through personal experiences navigating emotional dysregulation within herself and with loved ones, she recognizes we all need help, safety, and reminders of our strength and our worth. Therapy is a part of that support system.

Her therapeutic framework is inspired by and integrates Experiential/Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Angelina sees these modalities as forms of resources and a foundation for change but ultimately recognizes you are the expert of your personal experience. She integrates your values, unique strengths, and personal creativity as resources too.

She believes creativity offers us unexpected and spontaneous connections to ourselves; and encourages clients to notice how their creativity shows up in their expression and healing.

The power of mindfulness and integrating openness and creativity into our lives guides her therapy style. Angelina is committed to respect, curiosity, and compassion for everyone.

Outside of work, Angelina finds joy in listening to music while cooking, slowing down by being in nature (forests or near water), humor and deep-belly laughs, and spending time with those she loves.
