Patricia Magnani, LICSW
Patricia uses a holistic therapeutic approach to help you get “unstuck,” improve your relationships, and create a more fulfilling life.
Patricia’s goal is to create a safe, healing environment for clients to explore and resolve issues that are causing distress or holding them back. She has a warm interactive style that is collaborative, supportive and strengths-based.
It can feel daunting to seek therapy when feeling stressed or overwhelmed, but this is often the right time to take this step. When we are in the middle of a difficult time, seeing a therapist can provide support and clarity. It can help transform a crisis into a catalyst for personal growth and making the positive changes we want in our lives.
Patricia specializes in working with older adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship conflict, traumatic experiences, codependency and addictive behaviors, and life transitions, including career, marriage/separation/divorce, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, parenting, and mid-life concerns.
She uses a variety of research- and evidence-based therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to meet each client’s individual needs and goals. Patricia strives to stay abreast of therapeutic approaches influenced by the latest developments from neuroscience and the mind/body connection.
Prior to entering private practice, Patricia provided therapy services to children, teenagers, families and adults in community mental health settings. She’s also worked as Assistant Program Manager for the King County Family Law CASA Program (now a nonprofit) and as a Behavioral Health Specialist with Seattle Children’s Research Institute. She recently volunteered with the WA State Recovery Helpline, assisting callers with substance abuse and mental health concerns.
Patricia is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She graduated from the University of Washington with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in 1994.
Patricia offers appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays. Please feel free to call or email Patricia to determine if she’d be a good fit to meet with you.
