Dr. Anne McKenzie is a positive and approachable mental health professional, who utilizes current research and best practices to help you to relieve distress and live your Optimal Life.
Anne McKenzie specializes in supporting children, adults, and families struggling with issues related to neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Anne also provides expertise in grief, anxiety, work performance issues, and stress management.
Anne utilizes a collaborative and strength based approach, informed by empirically supported treatments, to help you and/or your child. She will help you to reduce maladaptive behaviors, strengthen social behaviors, enhance communication skills, improve work or school performance, and improve family functioning.
Anne brings over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families, and organizations. She has been a licensed mental health counselor for over a decade. She has a doctorate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, from Seattle Pacific University and a master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science from Bastyr University.
The therapeutic approaches Anne employs are cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), family systems therapy, psychoeducation, and parent coaching.
